My fascination with art began with traditional techniques. I learned to draw, to paint, to create with my hands. Since beginning my study of graphic design, these are not skills that I have lost. I incorporate my painting, drawing, photography, and collage into my designs, as well as pursuing these interests at my leisure. And more recently, I have become captivated with binding books and making paper by hand, which adds an additional handcrafted quality to my work. The union of design with more traditional artforms is a beautiful thing. All aspects of art can build upon each other to enhance the final product.
